The Oerol Festival at Terschelling, famous for theatre on location and visual arts, celebrated her 25th anniversary. In this documentary Willem Wits follows two theatre makers and a photographer for a few months during the development of new projects for the festival.
We see Marc van Vliet, artistic director of the group called TUIG, during a search of the right form of his project. Photographer Linette Raven has photographed the islands inhabitants for years now. In the film we see how she develops a special bond with the inhabitants during photo sessions in front of an old barn. Anthony Heidweiller develops operas. His ideas for the opera show 'Roeland', that will take place on the beach, has to be adapted a few times depending on the scale of the location.
