FENIX filming has commenced with final cast additions confirmed: Jack Wouterse, Jan Bijvoet and Hans Dagelet join the cast of FENIX.

Today filming of new television drama-series FENIX in Brabant. The series will be exclusively available this autumn on KPN Presenteert’s Channel 18 and on demand. FENIX explores the blurring line between organised crime and other sectors of society in Brabant, a southern province of the Netherlands. Teun Luijkx and Rifka Lodeizen lead the cast as Rens and Jara, returning to Brabant to confront the demons of their past. FENIX is directed by Shariff Korver and produced by Lemming Film.

Casting of FENIX has been completed. In the series the story revolves around two families, colliding from opposing sectors of society. The Haag Family, played by Hans Dagelet (public prosecutor, Jara’s father), Rifka Lodeizen (daughter), Nanette Edens (Jara’s stepmother) and the Segers family, played by Bart Slegers (head of a crime family, Rens’ father), Teun Luijkx (son) and Marie-Louise Stheins (Ren’s mother). Belgian actor Jan Bijvoet plays the role of Sev, a chemical supplier to XTC manufacturers. And Jack Wouterse takes on the role of the Segers family’s nemesis. Other characters are played by Chris Nietvelt, Tibo van de Borre and Rene van Asten.
